Welcome! My name is Alexis Stinnett. I am currently a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Legal Studies and Latin American Studies. I am an aspiring law student who is passionate about issues surrounding immigration policy and immigrant labor rights. In the future, I hope to use the knowledge I have obtained during my time at the University of Oregon to help people navigate the ever-changing U.S. immigration system as a lawyer.
During my time at the University of Oregon, I have been a part of a variety of organizations. I am currently a member of the Wayne Morse Scholars program at UO’s Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics. While being a member of this program, I have had the opportunity to connect with local leaders and politicians to discuss a variety of issues that are prevalent to the community.
Additionally, I have also been a student employee at the Student Recreation Center for two years, where I serve as an Operations Manager and Special Events Lead. Through this position, I manage other student staff and work with groups outside of UO to plan and coordinate events that take place within the Student Recreations Center’s Facilities.
In my free time I enjoy participating in F45 classes and running, as well as reading and playing guitar. I am an Oregonian through and through and love spending time outdoors fishing and hunting with my family.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email, (astinne3@uoregon.edu) if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy my blog and learn a thing or two about public relations and how it relates to political campaigns.
